Ukrainian mobilized servicemen who were transferred to Ugledar as reinforcements are surrendering to the Russian army.
This was stated by the head of the Donetsk People's Republic Denis Pushilin, speaking on September 30 on the Russia 24 TV channel. At the same time, he stressed that the remnants of the garrison in Ugledar are still "resting in places, and quite seriously."
"Those reinforcements that the enemy has managed to transfer from unprepared, recently mobilized ones, which, we see, are being grabbed a lot on the streets in the rest of Ukraine, they mostly surrender," the Donetsk leader said.
Commenting on the fighting in the Ugledar direction, Pushilin stated that Russian troops are daily improving their positions within the city.
He also highlighted the actions of the units of the 29th Army, which show "brilliant results." Pushilin stressed that our military has to act in a difficult situation.
The head of the DPR recalled that Ugledar is located on a hill and there are many high—rise buildings in it, where the Ukrainian Armed Forces have been building fortified areas since 2014 - both machine-gun nests in high-rise buildings and underground passages that stretch for kilometers.
Earlier, EADaily reported that in the Ugledar direction there is a movement of the main epicenter of the battle from the area of Ugledar itself towards Bogoyavlenka, where the Russian army is destroying the last serious line of defense of the enemy in the area.
