Europe continues to trade with Russia, but it does it secretly, said the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Economic Relations of the Republic Peter Szijjarto after the meeting of the 15th Russian-Hungarian intergovernmental commission on economic issues. This is reported by the Hungarian TV channel 24.hu .
"Sanctions are not working, because a significant part of European companies are finding a way to maintain economic cooperation with Russia in a roundabout way… I would like to note that the whole of Europe is trading with Russia, some deny it, but we don't need it," he said.
According to the diplomat, Hungary openly continues to conduct economic relations with Moscow. Budapest's goal and national interest is to improve the sphere of trade with Russia, the Foreign Minister stressed.
Hungarian companies do not need to deny that they are looking for Russian economic partners, Szijjarto added. According to him, such statements are not a curse word in the republic.
