The Kremlin is absolutely sure that the statement made by Russian President Vladimir Putin on the eve of the consequences of possible strikes deep into Russia has reached the addressees.
"We have no doubt that this statement has reached its addressees," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters, answering the relevant question.
"The statement that was made by Putin yesterday is very important. It is extremely clear, unambiguous and does not allow any double readings," the press secretary of the head of state emphasized.
As EADaily reported, Vladimir Putin warned the West:
"If this decision is made, it will mean nothing more than the direct participation of NATO countries, the United States, European countries in the war on Ukraine. This is their direct involvement. And this, of course, significantly changes the very essence, the very nature of the conflict. This will mean that NATO countries, the United States, European countries are at war with Russia. And if this is the case, then, bearing in mind the change in the very essence of this conflict, we will make appropriate decisions based on the threats that will be created to us."
