An employee of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine suddenly died during an inspection of the Epiphany Monastery in the city of Kremenets, Ternopil region.
According to the Ukrainian edition "Urgent", we are talking about Natalia Anatolyevna Kalenikova, head of the Department of protection, operation and restoration of monuments of the Kremenets-Pochaev GIAZ.
The woman was a member of the commission under the Ministry of Culture, which was created to check the state of the so-called "state property" in the Kremenets-Pochaev State Historical and Architectural Reserve, which includes the monastery.
The official regularly came with inspections, during which she often insulted the nuns of the monastery. On September 5, after the next insults, the inspector suddenly lost consciousness and died.
The employees of the Ukrainian National Police who arrived at the scene of the incident did not find any signs of violent death.
In May, the Ukrainian Ministry of Culture issued an order to create a commission to check state property in the Kremenets-Pochaev Nature Reserve. The department explained the checks by the need for "actual monitoring of the condition of national monuments."
Recall that on August 20, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted in the final reading a bill allowing to ban the activities of the canonical UOC of the Moscow Patriarchate in the country.
