On the Seim River near Glushkovo in the Kursk region, something similar to a new bridge appeared not far from the destroyed one. This is reported by the Russian Air Force Service with reference to Reuters.
The picture of the Seim River in the Kursk region, taken from the Planet Labs satellite on August 16, shows something similar to a new bridge two kilometers from the place where the now destroyed bridge near Glushkovo was located, the agency writes.
The destruction of the bridge became known on August 16. The corresponding photos were published by Russian media and public. The BBC checked them and came to the conclusion that they are authentic and fresh. According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, the bridge in Glushkovo was completely destroyed.
"This means that the new bridge was built in less than a day. Reuters refrains from final conclusions about who built it. It followed from the statements of the parties that Glushkovo remains under Russian control. Both the Russian and the Ukrainian armies have equipment for building bridges," the BBC reports.
It is noted that there is no similar design on the satellite image from August 15.
