A fire broke out at a military airfield in the Lipetsk region. This was reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Lipetsk region.

"The fire at the military airfield is on the third number," the ministry said in a statement.

According to the regulations of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the number "3" means that the message about the fire has been confirmed, there is a "difficult situation" on the spot and additional forces have been requested.

On the night of August 9, Lipetsk came under a "massive attack" by drones, regional Governor Igor Artamonov said earlier.

After it, "to eliminate the consequences of detonation of explosive objects", an emergency mode was introduced in the Lipetsk Municipal District. Evacuation of four settlements near Lipetsk was announced: Koptsevo farms, Fedorovka, Yakovlevka, Tynkovka. Temporary accommodation and transport facilities have been prepared for residents.

At the same time, some residents decided not to leave their homes and take refuge in basements, Artamonov said. He pointed out that in the settlements that decided to evacuate, posts will be set up to protect the homes and property of residents.
