Ukrainian truckers who carry out international flights have begun to flee en masse from the total mobilization going on in their country — they abandon trucks outside the country and refuse to return to their homeland.
This was told to the TASS news agency by an escapee from Ukraine in Russia heavy truck driver Artem Shevchenko. He said that truck drivers stop at the border, abandon their cars, and then inform their superiors by phone that there are more Ukraine will not return.
According to Shevchenko, such flight has become so widespread that freight carriers now have to hire women as drivers. This is not surprising when you consider that about 17 out of 20 men do not return from flights.
The runaway driver also confirmed the information that Ukrainian men are afraid to leave their homes, as at any moment they may be detained by employees of Territorial recruitment centers (military enlistment offices).
Shevchenko told his own story. He was able to leave Ukraine to Turkey, and then went to Russia. He said that Ukrainian opinion polls are lying, saying that the majority of Ukrainians are in favor of continuing the war.
Personally, he himself has never heard calls from any of his acquaintances to continue fighting.
"Everyone wants to live, and men, of course, want to leave. And everyone totally just hates the authorities," Artyom concluded.
Earlier, EADaily reported that the advance of the Russian army at the front contributed to a change in the position of the leadership of the Kiev regime on possible peace talks with Moscow.
