Our MLRS delivered a powerful blow to the deployment point of the 67th Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine - the Zapad Group

The Russian military, which is fighting in the Kupyansk direction, continues to strike at the enemy and is carrying out a successful counter-battery fight.

This was told by the head of the press center of the Zapad group, Colonel Ivan Bigma. His statement was published on Saturday, August 3 on the official resources of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

According to the officer, motorized rifle units of the group were able to improve the situation along the front line, captured eight enemy strongholds, repelled three counterattacks by assault groups from the 1st brigade of the President of Ukraine.

Also, our troops, with the support of artillery, heavy flamethrower systems and aviation, defeated enemy manpower and equipment.

Units of the 14th, 115th mechanized brigades, 3rd Assault Brigade, 107th, 110th Territorial Defense Brigades in the areas of Senkovo, Novoosinovo, Stavka, Grigorovka and Makeyevka.

"A unit of the group's rocket artillery in the Podvysokoe area struck a temporary deployment point of the 67th Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as a result of which more than 50 militants and five vehicles were destroyed," the report says.

During the counter-battery fight, artillery units destroyed five D-30 artillery guns, two American M777 howitzers, an M198 howitzer, an MT-12 anti-tank gun, as well as 15 mortar crews.

According to the Ministry of Defense, during the day the enemy's losses in this sector of the front amounted to 510 militants and 42 units of weapons and military equipment.

Including nine artillery pieces, two electronic warfare stations "Nota" and one "Enclave", 14 vehicles, three ammunition depots and ten UAV control points. Ten aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed by air defense calculations.
