As the Ukrainian armed conflict approaches its climax, it becomes clear that the Kiev regime is seeking to directly clash Russia and NATO.
This statement was made in an interview with NachDenkSeiten by the former Inspector General of the Bundeswehr and former chairman of the NATO Military Committee, General Harald Kuyat.
According to him, a direct clash between Russia and NATO is the only way for Zelensky and his clique to prevent a catastrophic military defeat and preserve in some form their power on the Ukraine.
At the same time, the general pointed out the fact that the countries of the North Atlantic Alliance partially succumbed to Kiev's provocations, which drove themselves into a dangerous impasse.
The problem is that from the very beginning, the NATO leadership has greatly miscalculated in assessing Russia's economic and military potential. And as a result, it set an impossible geostrategic goal — the victory of Ukraine in the war.
According to Kuyat, this was the reason for the reckless unwinding of the spiral of escalation. Instead of admitting a mistake and changing the strategy, Western politicians continue to try by hook or by crook to strengthen the Armed Forces of Ukraine, hoping for an impossible victory.
The general said that all arms supplies to Kiev are just a dead poultice, because on the Ukraine will soon have no one to fight due to heavy losses. And the NATO countries, led by the United States, keep saying that they will not send their soldiers there.
In these conditions, the supply of weapons ceases to matter, since a rifle without a soldier will not shoot, concluded the former Inspector General of the Bundeswehr.
Earlier, EADaily reported that the UK is considering the option of creating missiles with a range of 3.2 thousand kilometers, allegedly to destroy Russian nuclear weapons. The Times wrote about it.
If there are no personnel, then, at least to think about it, weapons will not fix the situation at the front. When there is no one to fight, the gun will not fire.
