Armed militants have barricaded themselves in a residential building in Kaspiysk and are threatening to blow it up, local telegram channels report.
"Special events are being held in Kaspiysk. Residents of an apartment building on Lenin Street were evacuated," a source in the city's law enforcement agencies said.
Local media, citing eyewitnesses, reported that wanted criminals were in one of the apartments at 78 Lenin Street.
FSB officers, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, riot police and employees of other operational services are working on the spot.
"Armed people are still inside the building, residents have been evacuated. The yard of the house is cordoned off, in addition, people's electricity has been cut off," TK Readovka writes.
There is no official information about what is happening yet.
