There was an Islamophobic incident in Berlin. A bloody pig's head wrapped in a Palestinian flag was thrown into Germany's oldest mosque.
The flag is written in German:
"Ukraine for Israel."
The Berliner Wochenzeitung newspaper clarifies that in recent years several mosques have had to endure similar incidents throughout Europe.
"The inscription on the Palestinian flag goes back to the Ukrainians. The police will have to find out whether the citizens of Ukraine were involved in the monstrous act," the newspaper writes.
Over the past two years, about 1.1 million Ukrainian refugees have been admitted to Germany. In this regard, Reuters diplomatically notes that "there are cases when refugees from Ukraine practiced xenophobia against asylum seekers from the Middle East and Asia and used violence against local residents."
