Azerbaijani Armed Forces are shelling at their own village, Spokesperson for the Defense Ministry of Armenia Artsrun Hovhannisyan said a few minutes ago.
"Today from 10:40 pm on from the Azerbaijani positions situated in front of Baghanis and Shavarshavan of Tavush marz (province) an intensive fire is held towards the Azerbaijani Parakhli populated area, generally, with tracer bullets. This is yet another Azerbaijani provocation," Artsrun Hovhannisyan posted on Facebook.
As EAD reported earlier citing Artsrun Hovhannisyan, on the same day a sniper of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces wounded an elderly resident of the Tavush region, Armenia, 85-year-old Levon H. Andreasyan.
The situation on the Line of Contact of the Azerbaijani and Karabakh troops and on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border has grown tense since the beginning of the year, with the conflicting parties blaming each other for ceasefire violations and reporting casualties.
