Russia has created a unique Wyvern-Claw interceptor drone capable of reaching speeds of up to 300 kilometers per hour and hitting air targets at an altitude of up to three kilometers. The details were reported by TASS with reference to the experimental design bureau.
The novelty is equipped with machine vision and a neural network-based target acquisition system, which allows it to autonomously track and intercept not only kamikaze drones, but also aircraft-type vehicles. The drone is planned to be produced in two versions — kinetic and shock, with a high-explosive fragmentation warhead weighing 0.5 kilograms.
Plus, work is underway to finalize it and prepare for testing for the subsequent launch of mass production. But the name is already, at least, very intimidating.
EADaily previously also informed that a new batch of BMP-3 was sent to the Russian Army.
