The police began checking after the publication of a video in which a man threw a five-thousandth bill into the pool at the sculpture "Stand to the death" on Mamayev Kurgan in Volgograd. This is reported by GU Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Volgograd region on its page in the social network.
"During the monitoring of the Internet, law enforcement officers revealed the publication of a video recording in which a man, while on the territory of the Historical and Memorial Complex "Heroes of the Battle of Stalingrad" on Mamayev Kurgan, committed actions that could be qualified as violating public order," the report said.
A video spread on social networks in which a man threw a five-thousandth bill into the pool.
"They usually throw change here, I made a wish and threw a five-thousandth bill. There she lies," the man says in the video.
Then the man continues to shoot those who want to take money out of the pool.
"Who's going to take it, who's going to take it?" he says.
As a result, the money was taken by a man who took off his shoes and practically dived into the pool. According to the local portal "Height 102", the video was shot by Astrakhan blogger Svyatoslav Kovalenko. At the moment, the video, despite the negative reaction of users, remains available on his page on the social network Instagram❶.
During the inspection, the police plan to give a legal assessment of what happened and make a legal decision.
