The EU could not agree on a new package of sanctions against Russia

EU ambassadors failed to agree on a new package of sanctions against Russia for the meeting of EU foreign ministers in Brussels. This was stated by the head of the European diplomatic service, Kaya Kallas.

"Work on the 21st package of sanctions has not been completed," she said.

According to her, the EU wants to blacklist 250 people in the interim sanctions regime.

Recall, the EU has already imposed 20 packages of sanctions against Russia. However, every time there is a growing resistance within the community itself to new restrictions, which have already caused serious damage to the economies of European countries.
