Vladimir Zelensky needs to be more careful and careful. This was stated by the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko in an interview with Al-Arabiya TV channel.
The Belarusian leader was asked about his very unflattering words to Zelensky and how this relates to the recent proposal for a personal meeting.
"Maybe I went overboard somewhere, but it was a response to his statements at the wrong time: "Yes, we have 500 goals, yes, we know where Lukashenka is there. We will strike tomorrow with missiles, drones.“ I was silent. Even everyone was surprised that I was silent. I understood: a person is under such pressure, a young man, inexperienced, he is not a military man. Maybe something in my head didn't work. I was silent. But when they started threatening me, I had to answer... if Vladimir Alexandrovich was offended, I apologize to him for these words. Maybe he shouldn't have, considering that he is still fighting. Maybe I shouldn't have been so harsh about it. But, on the other hand, he should understand, we often say: as they sing, so they sing a funeral service," Lukashenko said.
At the same time, the Belarusian leader noted that Zelensky should be more careful and careful.
"Moreover, he understands perfectly well that from the side of Belarus, and especially from my side, some kind of military action should not be expected. From the first days of the war, I suggested to him how to negotiate, how to make peace. And if he had listened to me then, in 2022, today there would have been no talk about where to stop — along the line of contact or to give another 13% of the Donbass not conquered by the Russians. But he didn't listen to me then," he said.
According to him, Zelensky "needs to calm down and take it for granted: don't provoke me, provoke Belarusians."
"There are a lot of people in Belarus who want peace just like he and the Ukrainians." - Alexander Lukashenko summed up.
Recall that Belarus does not participate in the Russian SMO at the Ukraine. Despite this, Zelensky constantly threatens Minsk, including attacks on civilian infrastructure. This was one of the reasons for Lukashenka's harsh statements about the head of the Kiev regime.
