The Iranian military launched a missile attack on the Muwaffak-Salti airbase near Azraq in Jordan, where American F-35, F-15 and F-16 fighters are stationed.
This is reported by the Press TV channel, referring to the press service of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). They added that strikes were also carried out on key facilities and a control center at an airbase near the city of Azraq in Jordan.
"In the early morning, 12 ballistic missiles were aimed at facilities where American F-35, F-15 and F-16 fighters were stationed, as well as key military facilities of the Azraq airbase and its control center, significant damage to aircraft and infrastructure was reported," the IRGC said in a statement.
They stressed that the operations of the Iranian forces "will continue as long as the hostile actions of the United States continue."
Earlier, EADaily reported that the IRGC forces attacked US military bases in the Middle East in response to US strikes on Iran. The base of the Fifth Fleet of the US Navy in Bahrain was attacked using various attack drones.
