Explosions thundered in Kiev

Explosions were heard in the capital of Ukraine, Kiev, the mayor of the city, Vitali Klitschko, said in a telegram channel.

The Kiev city administration notified about the air alert in Kiev at 00.50 Moscow time. Later, Klitschko wrote that the consequences were recorded in the Dnipro, Obolon and Shevchenko districts of the city.

The publication "Public" also reported explosions in Cherkasy and Poltava region.

Prior to that, Klitschko reported on the explosions in Kiev on April 16. At the same time, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk military administration, Alexander Ganzha, wrote about several fires in the Dnieper.

Russia began striking at the Ukrainian infrastructure on October 10, 2022 — two days after the terrorist attack on The Crimean bridge, behind which, according to the Russian authorities, there are Ukrainian special services. Strikes are being carried out on energy, defense industry, military administration and communications facilities. Since then, an air alert has been announced every day in the Ukrainian regions, sometimes throughout the country.
