Belarus notes the continuing threat of cross-border fires from Ukraine. This was reported in the Ministry of Forestry of the republic.
"A difficult fire hazard situation persists in Gomel region. The greatest risk factors are in the Milosevic forestry, where they periodically face the threat of cross—border fires from Ukraine," the department said.
The Ministry stated that a forest fire continues on the Ukrainian territory, not far from the Belarusian border. To prevent him from spreading to Belarus, a night watch was organized.
Recall, a forest fire in the Chernobyl exclusion zone on the Ukrainian side cannot be extinguished for several days. So far, a considerable distance remains from the territory of the Gomel region to the main source of ignition. At the same time, at the moment there are no bans or restrictions on visiting forests in all regions of Belarus, except Gomel.
