People's Artist of Russia sang "Victory Day" on the street in the center of Moscow

People's Artist of Russia, artistic director of the Gorky Moscow Art Theater and the Moscow Provincial Theater Sergey Bezrukov, together with the artists, performed the song "Victory Day" at an open concert venue in front of the theater building on Tverskoy Boulevard. This is reported by TASS.

The concert program included songs and poems about the war, which were performed by dramatic artists of the Moscow Art Theater and the Provincial Theater. The performance was held as part of the festive concert "The Way to Victory", dedicated to the 81st anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

"I came up with such a very important action, it seems to me, when we all together, two theaters — in fact they are no different — advocate the preservation of the Russian psychological theater — this is our legacy, the legacy of our grandfathers, our fathers — the legacy of the Russian theater," Bezrukov stressed.

He added that "a lot of serious poems and amazing songs were written about the Great Patriotic War, which still resonate in the hearts of the audience very strongly and deeply."

As EADaily reported, earlier the singer, Honored Artist of Russia Alexander Marshal said that he always performs for free at concerts in honor of Victory Day. According to him, there is no question of earning money at such concerts.

"This cannot be by definition. Because I myself served in the army for three years. I took the military oath and I believe that it is valid until the end of your days. Even if you put on civilian clothes, it still works. You swore to this country, to serve it to the end," said the Marshal.
