In Finland, an unknown drone was found flying towards the border with Russia. This is reported by the Rulehti publication with reference to the Finnish Ministry of Defense.

The incident occurred on Sunday night.

"An unmanned aerial vehicle was spotted in the sky, which was moving in the border zone towards Russia. The device was discovered by the Air Force, while its type and origin have not yet been established. At the time of the last information, the drone had already left Finnish airspace, " the publication says.

The Finnish Border Guard Service is conducting an appropriate investigation.

It is noted that the appearance of the drone coincided with "increased activity in the region." In Southeastern Finland, fighters were seen in the early morning, at the same time it became known about a large-scale drone attack on the Russian Leningrad region. According to the regional authorities, at least 60 UAVs were shot down overnight, and the strikes caused fires in the oil port of Primorsk.

(Note that the publication does not even suggest whose drones they might be.)

Whether these events are related to each other is not officially confirmed, the publication summarizes.

As reported by EADaily, Russia may apply Article 51 of the UN Charter to the Baltic States and Finland. This was stated by the Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Sergei Shoigu.

If the Baltic states and Finland deliberately provide their skies for Ukrainian drones, they are open accomplices of aggression against Russia, he noted.
