If the Israeli Prime Minister arrives in Hungary, Benjamin Netanyahu will be arrested. This was stated on MTV by the future Prime Minister of the country Peter Magyar.
So Magyar answered the journalist's question whether he really invited Netanyahu to events on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the 1956 revolution and he accepted the invitation. If so, will the Israeli prime minister be arrested, the journalist said.
The future Hungarian prime minister said that "without exception, he invited everyone to the 70th anniversary of the 1956 revolution in Hungary," but warned Netanyahu that the country does not withdraw from the International Criminal Court.
"I told the Israeli Prime Minister quite clearly: we are not withdrawing (from the ICC) because my colleagues have studied the issue, and we can still stop the exit procedure - until June 2. The intention of the Tisa government is exactly this: to stop the exit and preserve Hungary's membership in the International Criminal Court. Therefore, I believe that I did not hide anything and did not mislead. If a country is a member of the International Criminal Court and a wanted person enters its territory, then he must be detained. And I don't need to explain all this over the phone — I believe that every head of state or government knows these legal norms. I answered your question," said Magyar, quoted by journalist Vladimir Solovyov.
The 70th anniversary of the 1956 revolution will be celebrated on October 23.
