People's Artist of Russia received the special prize "I Believe" of the Moscow Film Festival

A special prize for conquering the heights of acting and loyalty to the principles of the Stanislavsky school "I believe. Konstantin Stanislavsky" of the 48th Moscow International Film Festival (MIFF) was awarded to Sergei Bezrukov, an actor of theater and cinema, People's Artist of Russia, artistic director of the Gorky Moscow Art Theater and the Moscow Provincial Theater.

The prize was presented during the opening ceremony of the MIFF by the Minister of Culture of Russia Olga Lyubimova.

"It is a great honor for me to present this prize to you today, Sergey Vitalievich. (...) We are all waiting for new roles both on stage and in the frame," Interfax quotes the head of the department.

Bezrukov thanked Lyubimova and noted that "I have always been used to working, and I have worked, and I continue to work, not thinking about awards."

As EADaily reported, the 48th MIFF will be held in Moscow from April 16 to 23. About 200 films from 43 countries are participating in the festival, including 19 world and international premieres and 96 Russian premieres. The main competition included 13 films, filmmakers from Italy, Spain, South Korea, Iran and other countries will present their works.

The program of Special screenings of the 48th MIFF will include the premiere of the film "The Director's Notebook" by the Soviet and Russian director, People's Artist of Russia Alexander Sokurov. According to the director, the screening of his film is a sincere desire of the organizers.
