The final fate of the idea to introduce into the Russia has a six-day working week

There is no need to introduce a six-day working week in Russia and this idea is not being discussed. This was stated by the head of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP) Alexander Shokhin.

"This issue is not being discussed. We believe that there is no need," he said.

According to him, despite the low overall unemployment rate in the country (2.1%), there is high structural unemployment. In some enterprises, a four-day working week is being introduced, while there is a shortage of personnel in continuous production.

In this regard, the head of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs recalled that in The State Duma has a bill aimed at increasing the flexibility of the labor market by removing restrictions on overtime. It is planned to increase the annual overtime limit from 120 to 240 hours. This, in his opinion, will be beneficial for employees, since overtime is paid higher than regular working hours.

Recall, in early April, Russian businessman Oleg Deripaska said that in Russia needs a six-day working week. In his opinion, this would solve all economic issues in the country. Later, the State Duma noted that such an idea was not considered necessary to even discuss.
