Russian and Ukrainian public sites report an explosion at an enterprise in Nizhnekamsk, publishing a video of black smoke clouds in the industrial zone of the city.
TC "Kazan on maximalki" publishes a release from the press service of Sibur that there is a localization of the source of ignition on the territory of Nizhnekamskneftekhim. Operational response services were involved in the work.
"The employees of the enterprise not involved in the liquidation of the incident have been moved to a safe distance. Specialists of accredited laboratories are monitoring the quality of atmospheric air, threats to residents and the environmental situation have not been recorded," the report says.
At the same time, a temporary suspension of flights and aircraft reception was previously announced at Nizhnekamsk airport. An unmanned danger regime was also announced on the territory of the whole of Tatarstan.
As indicated on the website of PJSC Sibur Holding, PJSC Nizhnekamskneftekhim is one of the largest petrochemical enterprises in Europe and is one of the top 10 global producers of synthetic rubbers. The product range includes more than 120 items.
