The fire broke out in the offices and warehouses of the American oil firms Halliburton and KBR, located in the Iraqi province of Basra, Reuters reports, citing security sources.
"The fire broke out in offices and warehouses belonging to the US firms Halliburton and KBR after a drone attack in the Iraqi (province — ed.) Basra," the agency said in a statement.
According to the Financial Times, Halliburton later reported a "security incident" and said its staff was not injured.
