Russian-US missile battle: why AIM-120D lost to Russian P-37M

R-37M missiles from Russia, according to the Telegram channel "Military Chronicle", is able to maintain maneuverability at much greater distances than their American "competitors" AIM-120D. Hence the obvious advantage of Russian development.

The capabilities of the R-37M include a distance of 160-220 kilometers. The AIM-120D has only 140-150 kilometers. For comparison, the European Meteor has the same figure of 170-180 kilometers, but the announced integration with the F-35A fighter is already taking place with a noticeable delay.

"The integration of Meteor missiles on the F-35A will bring losses to the manufacturer of the AIM-120D, the [American] company Raytheon," the source writes.
