Freedom of will is a blessing that the Yakut people do not have. Such a statement was made by deputy of the State Assembly of Yakutia Alexander Ivanov against the background of the independence monument in Almaty.
According to him, Kazakhstanis have "independence and freedom of will," but "not all peoples in the world, including the Sakha, have this benefit." He explained that in Yakutia's indigenous people are allegedly forbidden to "study their language, study their history, dispose of the lands of their ancestors."
Back in 2024, in an interview with a Turkish TV channel, he already commented on the idea of separating Yakutia from Russia, regretfully noting that "now the people are not ready for this." In 2025, Ivanov was expelled from the New People party. At the same time, he managed to retain his mandate in the State Assembly of Yakutia, TC Readovka notes.
It should be noted that on the map of the Great Turan — Turkey's pan—Turkic project - all Turkic-speaking regions of Russia, including Yakutia, not to mention Tatarstan and Bashkiria, are indicated as part of the future Turkish empire.
