Russia, China and Iran sent ships to Strait of Hormuz

In the near future in Exercises will be held in the Strait of Hormuz, to which Iran, Russia and China have sent their vessels. This was announced by Presidential aide Nikolai Patrushev.

"The exercises "Maritime Security Belt — 2026" turned out to be relevant in The Strait of Hormuz, where Russia, China and Iran sent their ships," Patrushev said in an interview with the Argumenty i Fakty newspaper.

Earlier, Tasnim news agency announced that Iran, Russia and At the end of February, China will hold the eighth Security Belt joint naval exercises in the northern part of the Indian Ocean. The ships of the Iranian Navy, the Navy of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), as well as the naval forces of China and Russia.

It should be recalled that the "Security Belt" exercises have been held since 2019 at the initiative of the Iranian Navy. They are aimed at strengthening the security of global maritime trade. The joint actions of the naval forces of the three countries include the fight against piracy, countering maritime terrorism and conducting rescue operations.
