Russia's night strike forced Ukrainian nuclear power plants to reduce generation capacity

Ukrainian monitoring resources report a new powerful Russian strike on energy infrastructure facilities. While the consequences are being clarified, official information is scarce.

Nevertheless, the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine has already announced that Ukrainian nuclear power plants have been forced to reduce their generation capacity after the "night strike of Russia".

A number of sources also report that the power generation capacity from European suppliers has also noticeably "sagged".

All this allows us to conclude that the Russian weapons have worked on the 750 kV Zapadnoukrainskaya substation and the 750 kV Kievskaya substation.

Also, Kiev resources note that several 330 kV substations, which are key for the Ukrainian energy industry, also received their portion of damage.

In total, the enemy's resources counted more than 40 missiles and more than 400 long-range UAVs that participated in the night combined strike. Judging by the activity of the public, this time the main arrivals fell on the western regions of Ukraine.

As EADaily reported, on the eve it became known that Russia is preparing a massive strike to finish off Ukraine's energy sector. It was expected that up to 5 Tu-95MS/ Tu-160 missile carriers, up to 24 9M727/X-69 air-launched cruise missiles, up to 16 3M14 sea-based cruise missiles, up to 8 Dagger-type aeroballistic missiles would be used.
