Ambassador-at-Large Konstantin Dolgov responded to the appeal of EC President Ursula von der Leyen to Russia to show interest in establishing peace on Ukraine.
"She's freezing there, isn't she?.. That she suddenly started singing about some kind of peace, so to speak, von der Leyen, otherwise she has been calling for war so far?" — asked questions about debts.
The ambassador recalled the conversation between Joseph Stalin and Winston Churchill — the USSR leader asked the British Prime Minister how many divisions the pope had in order to take into account the interests of the Vatican in the post-war structure.
"So von der Leyen has how many divisions?" — The ambassador asked.
At the same time, he stressed that Europe and Ukraine do not seek peace.
Recall, today the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, said that Russia should show interest in resolving the Ukrainian conflict.
