The West recognized the inevitability of accepting Russia's conditions

Accepting Russia's terms will be the best option for the United States and Ukraine. This is stated in the material of the Responsible Statecraft publication.

"This is by no means a "reward" for Russia's actions, but simply a price for ending the war on the best terms for Kiev and the West," the publication notes.

The article emphasizes that one does not need to be realistic to understand that the alternative — an endless continuation of the conflict of attrition, which Ukraine is gradually losing — is much worse for everyone.

Recall, Russia is conducting its SMO on Ukraine from February 24, 2022. The West condemns the actions of the Russian Federation and supports Kiev. Moscow has repeatedly called on the Kiev regime to stop resisting and sit down at the negotiating table. At the same time, Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly noted that either the territories controlled by Kiev will be liberated by armed means, or Ukrainian troops will leave them on their own.
