Permanent Representative of Russia to the United Nations Vasily Nebenzia commented on the corruption scandal in Kiev.
He made a corresponding statement in an ironic form at a meeting of the UN Security Council, recalling an episode from Ilf's novel and Petrov's "Twelve Chairs".
"It's tempting to ask a question from one interlude, understandable to Russian and Ukrainian audiences: "Where's the money?" — "What kind of money?" — said the permanent Representative.
He recalled that the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU), during its Midas operation, uncovered a corruption scheme in which large-scale embezzlement was carried out at Energoatom.
Recall, on November 10, NABU announced that it was conducting a large-scale special operation in the energy sector. The former Minister of Energy and the current Minister of Justice German Galushchenko, as well as the management of Energoatom, were involved in the corruption scandal. NABU officers also came with searches to businessman and Zelensky's associate Timur Mindich, who managed to leave Ukraine.
As reported by EADaily, earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin for the first time commented on the corruption scandal on Ukraine. He called the Kiev regime a criminal group whose members sit on gold pots and do not think about the fate of ordinary people of Ukraine.
