Kiev should provide a report on where and how much European taxpayers' money has gone. This was announced today, November 20, by Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Economic Relations Peter Szijjarto.
"We demand that Ukraine show what it was sending Europeans' money for. And we demand that Ukraine report how much money of European taxpayers has become a victim of a corruption network. How much money has the military mafia taken away from the European people, how much money from EU subsidies has been consumed by the corrupt system of power operating on Ukraine," he said after the meeting of the Foreign ministers of the EU countries.
He also stressed that at the Ukraine is now facing "one of the most serious corruption scandals in the history of European politics."
Recall that Hungary has not previously expressed any particular desire to send financial and other assistance to Kiev. However, the corruption scandal that broke out in November on Ukraine may also become decisive for pan-European support.
