The United States has almost exhausted the potential for imposing additional restrictions on Russia. This was announced on November 12 by Secretary of State Marco Rubio following a meeting of the foreign ministers of the G7 countries in the Canadian province of Ontario.
"There are not many (opportunities) left for us to impose sanctions. …We are running out of targets for which sanctions could be imposed," Rubio said, answering journalists' questions.
According to the head of American diplomacy, Washington has already applied restrictions against Russia's largest oil companies.
"I don't know what else needs to be done," he added.
Rubio noted that now more active measures against the so-called shadow fleet should be expected from European countries.
