American actress, director, producer and UNICEF goodwill ambassador Angelina Jolie, during a trip to Ukraine, could have rescued her Ukrainian escort Dmitry Pishchukov from the shopping mall (territorial recruitment center — an analogue of the military enlistment office) for a "small" ransom. This is reported by The Sun portal.
The guard was detained by the shopping mall, and the actress went to the building of the center, according to one version — to help out the escort, on the other — just to go to the toilet.
According to the publication, employees of the shopping mall began to extort $ 100 thousand from the Hollywood star, after receiving which they promised to release the guard. The Sun learned this information from representatives of the Legacy of War organization accompanying the actress.
As EADaily reported, despite the widespread coverage of the situation by Russian and Ukrainian media, Pishchukov was never released from the shopping mall, although, according to him, all his documents were in order.
Earlier, he said that he was currently in training, everything was fine with him, although he was "a little outraged by the actions of the TCC at the checkpoint and some actions after."
After completing the course in training, he will serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
