European countries want to isolate themselves from Russia, said Serbian President Alexander Vucic, speaking at a ceremony on the occasion of the 17th anniversary of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNP). The speech of the politician leads Blic.
"Europe wants to (introduce an iron) curtain in relation to Russia. No one wants to respect someone's neutrality or desire to pursue their own policy," he said.
According to the Serbian president, pressure on Belgrade will grow, no one is happy with Serbia's policy except Serbian citizens, but the country cares about its own good "does not serve and will never serve" anyone else.
Vucic said earlier that in the context of the upcoming EU ban on the transit of Russian gas, Belgrade was facing an energy impasse. He stressed that the country has no alternative sources of supplies that could cover current needs.
