Europe may face a new type of war in the near future, drawn into a conflict with Russia, said Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, speaking in Warsaw at the opening of the security forum.
"We didn't want this, it's sometimes strange (to realize) that this is a new type of war, but it's still a war," he said.
According to Tusk, the biggest and most important task for opinion leaders in Europe is to make other people and the entire Western, transatlantic community realize that this is a war.
"If we lose this war, the consequences will affect not only our generation, but also future generations. In Poland, all over Europe, in the USA, all over the world," he added.
At the same time, the prime minister expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that part of the society of many countries do not consider it necessary to interfere in what is happening on the Ukraine.
Earlier in September, a meeting of participants of the so-called "coalition of the willing" was held in Paris, chaired by British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and French President Emmanuel Macron. Following the summit, the French leader said that 26 countries had expressed their readiness to host Ukraine's deterrence forces after the ceasefire.
