"American singer Brandon Howard will not be able to take part in the International Intervision Music Competition this year due to unforeseen family circumstances," the statement said.
In the published video, Howard regrets that he will not be able to take part in the contest, but he named the name of the singer who will represent the United States.
She is a singer, songwriter and producer, a world star of dance music VASSY (Australian singer of Greek origin, real name is Vasiliki Karagiorgos). She is the first woman to be awarded the EDMA (Electronic Dance Music Awards) ICON AWARD in 2023. Her collaborations with Tiësto and David Guetta occupied top positions in American radio charts and became multi-platinum in 30 countries around the world.
She will perform at Intervision at number five.
As EADaily reported, the international song contest "Intervision" will be held on September 20 this year in Moscow at the Live Arena. Russia will be represented by Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Yaroslav Dronov (SHAMAN), Russian composer and producer, People's Artist of Russia Igor Matvienko will be on the jury.
Earlier it became known that representatives of Azerbaijan and the UAE would not take part in the competition, but there was no official confirmation of the refusal of these countries to participate in the competition.
Last week, the draw of the contestants took place, SHAMAN got number nine. The competition performances will be opened by the representative of Cuba Sulema Iglesias Salazar, the last 23rd number on the stage in Moscow will be Irhan Malik from India.
