A member of the US House of Representatives, Marjorie Taylor Green, announced her intention to exclude from the draft US defense budget for the 2026 fiscal year the costs of external military assistance, including the $600 million envisaged for Ukraine.
"My first amendment will be about the exclusion of $600 million from the National Defense Funding Act for Ukraine," she said in a video message posted on the social network X.
According to Green, American taxpayers have already sent to support the conflict on Ukraine has over 175 billion dollars.
"In my opinion, this is enough... we cannot afford to finance foreign wars," she added.
Green also said that she had found an amendment to the Pentagon's draft budget from one of the legislators to allocate another $ 100 million to Ukraine and for this reason would seek to exclude all funding to Kiev.
