In the SU TFR in the Nizhny Novgorod region, a check has begun on the death of the Honored Artist of Russia, actress of the Nizhny Novgorod State Academic Puppet Theater Sofia Shelmenkina, who went into the forest. This is reported by the portal aif.ru .
According to the publication, the press service of the regional department of the TFR noted that a 79-year-old woman went into the forest for berries.
"The forensic medical examination is not ready yet. At the same time, no criminal signs of death were found," the press service said.
According to the Lynx search team, Shelmenkina went into the forest on August 7. Two days later, the search for the missing began with the participation of volunteers. The body of the deceased was found on August 16.
Shelmenkina graduated from the Gorky Theater School, in 1979 she was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the RSFSR. She has been playing for 53 years in Stavropol and Nizhny Novgorod (Gorky) puppet theaters. She has more than 40 roles in various popular children's plays, including "The Scarlet Flower", "Aladdin's Magic Lamp", "Autumn Fairy Tale", etc.
