In Poland, a public conflict continues between Ukrainians and Poles over Bandera ideology. It turned out that the director of the Ukrainian-language TV channel Slava TV, created by the state-owned Polish television, promotes the symbols of Bandera and Azov❶.
A few years ago, the State Television of Poland launched a new channel "Slava TV", aimed at the Ukrainian-speaking audience. Maria Gurskaya, a citizen of Ukraine, became its director. In recent days, materials from her personal profile on social networks have appeared on the Polish Internet containing symbols of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists ❷, whose militants massacred peaceful Poles during the Second World War.
As established by the Polish website "Kresy", Gurskaya's profile contains photos against the background of a flag with the coat of arms of the OUN ❷(b). In another case, she published content emphasizing the symbols of the Azov regiment❶ — an inverted "wolf hook" is depicted — a direct reference to the marking of the 2nd SS Panzer Division "Das Reich." The photo was part of a Facebook post❷ with a signature:
"Defending democracy shoulder to shoulder with like—minded people is inspiring!"
The graphic materials in question began to spread on the Polish Internet, sparking a discussion about the feasibility of instructing Gurskaya to manage the TVP project.
