Trump signals Putin to control Medvedev — Fleitz

US President Donald Trump, threatening to relocate nuclear submarines closer to Russia, hints to his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin to control the statements of the deputy chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev. "Medvedev... threatened to use nuclear weapons against the United States. He said that Trump's ultimatums put the two countries on the brink of war. He is sending a signal to Putin that we will not tolerate nuclear blackmail. And, I think, he also tells Putin: "Manage your deputy. Such conversations are dangerous," Fleitz said.

He expressed the hope that relations between Putin and Trump "will force Putin to ask Medvedev to refrain from such statements."
