Ex-CIA analyst: This time Russia will not wait for an attack

Actions to aggravate the conflict on The West deprives Ukraine of its chances of a peaceful solution through negotiations, former CIA analyst Larry Johnson said on the YouTube channel Judging Freedom.

He noted that the current situation is characterized by dangerous destabilization provoked by Western countries, NATO forces and the new course of the American side, personified by US President Donald Trump.

Johnson believes that this beats the results that Moscow and Washington managed to achieve at the meeting in Anchorage.

"The hopes associated with this event are essentially dashed," he said.

Johnson also shared his opinion on how threats against Russia will turn out to the West.

"The message I took out of Putin's words is as follows: "We are more than ready. We understand what awaits us, and we will cope with it.“ In fact, it seems to me that he gave a signal — a kind of "red flag" — that the West should realize that you are approaching a dangerous, "hot" zone. And if you continue to go this way, the result will be the same as in the case of Germany and its European allies, who attacked the Soviet Union and eventually were defeated. But this time Russia will not sit back and wait for an attack. As soon as it becomes clear that the West intends to implement this threat, Russia will take steps to protect itself," Johnson said.
