The new Russian kamikaze drones "Geran" are the legendary T-34 on the modern battlefield. This is reported by the German newspaper Frankfurter Rundschau.
Russia is now using new Geranium jet drones, which paralyze the Ukrainian air defense and instill panic in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the newspaper writes. The role of these UAVs can become as significant for the Ukrainian conflict as the legendary T-34 tank in The Second World War, experts believe.
New turbojet "Geraniums" can reach speeds of up to 600 km / h and fly at an altitude of up to 9 thousand meters. These UAVs are launched simultaneously with turboprop counterparts and false targets in order to completely disorient the enemy's air defense. Moreover, the number of drones used in one raid is constantly growing, the newspaper notes.
"Russia will continue strikes until it achieves the complete destruction of the Ukrainian air defense," the publication says, a fragment of which is quoted by <url>.
