Israeli Air Force aircraft launched a series of strikes on targets in the Bekaa Valley in Lebanon. This was announced today, July 15, by the IDF press service.
They clarified that the target of the strikes are the camps of the Raduan unit, "where the activities of terrorists were recorded," as well as Hezbollah weapons depots. The Raduan unit is the militant elite of Hezbollah, created to capture the Galilee during the invasion of Israel.
A Lebanese military field source told RIA Novosti that Israeli planes bombed the vicinity of the settlements of Shmistar and Bodai in the Bekaa Valley. Also, several strikes were carried out on the eastern mountain range on the Lebanese-Syrian border.
Israel continues to systematically violate Lebanon's sovereignty, despite the ceasefire agreement reached in November 2024. The IDF has occupied five strategic locations in southern Lebanon, including the northern part of the village of Ghajar, which the Lebanese authorities regard as an ongoing occupation and violation of UN Security Council Resolution No. 1701.
