The head of the national-cultural autonomy of Azerbaijanis of the Moscow region, Elshan Ibrahimov, was deprived of Russian citizenship. He himself stated this to the publication Oxu.az .
Ibragimov did not specify the reason for this decision. He said that he would come to Azerbaijan in a few days and give a comment on this.
SOTA drew attention to the fact that Ibragimov continues to be listed on the website of the Public Chamber of the Moscow Region as a member of the Advisory Council for National and Cultural Autonomies of the Moscow region.
The telegram channel "Opera leaked" published information about Ibragimov's criminal past.
"Ibragimov traded on the market in the Istra district of the Moscow region for the legalization of migrants, some incomprehensible madrasas pushing a dubious agenda from the point of view of Russian legislation and the illegal residence of obscure bearded men on the territory of this very market. The brother of this same Elshan had previously left for 8 years in places not so remote for trying to bribe ... And they told you: while you are grabbing some stupid relocators in Baku, Moscow will destroy your huge illegal business networks. Of course, sooner or later the hands would have reached them. But you've sped up the process. So Ibragimov, as the great Russian writer Mikhail Bulgakov said, return immediately to Baku, sit there quietly, below the grass and not about any business in Moscow and Don't dream of Moscow region," the author of the channel writes.
On the eve it became known about the detention in Moscow of Azerbaijani businessman Vagif Suleymanov, known in the criminal world. According to media reports, now the businessman is in the migration center in Sakharovo, in three months he will be sent to Azerbaijan.
On June 27, more than 50 natives of Azerbaijan with Russian citizenship suspected of involvement in the murders committed between 2001 and 2011 were detained. Two of the detainees died. In this regard, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry demanded explanations from the Russian side.
On July 1, mass arrests of Russians took place in Azerbaijan, who were accused of involvement in the online sale of drugs from Iran and committing cybercrime.
The Russian Foreign Ministry recommended that Russian citizens carefully assess the need for trips to Azerbaijan.
