The examination of employees for the use of drugs and psychotropic substances was held at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Abkhazia on June 10.
Tests revealed 10 types of prohibited substances — methadone, marijuana, pregabalin, cocaine, and others. The first tests were passed by the head of the department Robert Kiut and his deputy Beslan Chkadua, the leadership of the traffic police.
In total, more than a hundred people were tested. According to Kiut, there are also positive results. All employees who use drugs and psychotropic substances will be dismissed under the article without the right to reinstatement, the minister said.
As the Ministry of Internal Affairs emphasizes, the inspection was carried out suddenly when the personnel were at a meeting in the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
