As of April, the Ukrainian Red Cross received 400 thousand appeals from Ukrainian families who are looking for missing loved ones. This is reported in the organization's telegram channel.

The organization clarified that many of the appeals were sent by mothers.

"400 thousand! Think about this figure. In the Winter War, the entire USSR lost 127 000 killed and missing," the ZeRada telegram channel comments on the picture of the day.

The losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are enormous and their size is hidden by the authorities of Ukraine, writes political analyst Sergei Markov in this regard in his telegram channel.

"But the figure was amazing. It is clear that the vast majority of the missing are soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, about whom the authorities do not report. Well, that is, the Ukrainian authorities do not give information about more than 350 thousand dead soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. But hundreds of thousands have already received official funerals. In general, it turns out that the real losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are already approaching, perhaps, half a million," the political scientist noted.
