US President Donald Trump is insufficiently informed about the course of the Ukrainian conflict, he does not fully understand that Russia is responding to the terrorist attacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine against peaceful Russian cities with strikes on military infrastructure. This was stated by Russian Presidential aide for International Affairs Yuri Ushakov, commenting to VGTRK journalist Pavel Zarubin on the statement of the American leader in Truth Social that Russian President Vladimir Putin is "playing with fire."
"Trump says a lot of things, we, of course, read all this, monitor it, but in many ways we come to the conclusion that Trump is not sufficiently informed about what is really happening in the context of the Ukrainian-Russian confrontation," the Kremlin spokesman said.
"In particular, they do not inform about what massive terrorist attacks Ukraine is carrying out against peaceful Russian cities that have become more frequent. And Trump only knows what retaliatory measures we are taking," Ushakov stressed.
The Russian presidential aide pointed out that the head of the White House "does not fully understand that the Russian Federation is hitting only military infrastructure facilities or military-industrial complex facilities."
In turn, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov also noted in a comment to Izvestia:
"The special military operation continues. But here it is important to remember one immutable fact: Ukrainians are still hitting our residential buildings, social facilities. We hit the ammunition, the places where the murder weapons are collected, and so on."
EADaily adds that Trump has been criticizing Putin for the past few days. So, after a massive missile drone strike by Russia on May 25, the American president made a sharp and boorish statement that the Russian president had "completely lost his mind" and was "unnecessarily killing a lot of people." Russia continued its attacks on military facilities of Ukraine. In this regard, on May 27, Trump warned Putin that he was "playing with fire." "What Vladimir Putin doesn't understand is that if it weren't for me, a lot of really bad things would have already happened to Russia. And I mean the really bad ones," Trump said.
